 DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Develop tools, documentation, and processes to facilitate self-service for other business units that will consume our services.
• Define SLAs/SLOs for services, manage code deployments, fixes, and software updates, create GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines, and automate our operational processes as needed. • Rapid response to security monitoring infrastructure outages or service degradation. Troubleshoot network, hardware, and operating system issues/bottlenecks.
Requirements for Success:
• Knowledge of fundamental network technologies such as DNS, load balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, and HTTP.
• Knowledge of cloud security and best practices.
• Configuration management of network devices. From switches, firewalls, and routers to public cloud networks (security groups, ELBs, VPCs, VPC Flow Logs, Route53).
• A strong sense of responsibility for the work you do and a conviction to do things right for the right reasons.
• Familiarity with Unix, bash scripting, process management, file systems, and daemons.
• Experience with the public cloud and support for system deployment, configuration management, and application installation on AWS (EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, EC2, SQS).
• Growth mindset and willingness to solve challenging problems and learn.
• Experience building GitOps CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or CircleCI/Github Actions or similar tools.
